The railway network in India is one of the most used ways of transportation. Holding the repute of being the fourth largest network in the world, it spreads across 121,407 kilometres. The maintenance of this network is thus of much importance and currently, a beautification drive is being undertaken in several parts of the country. To give an appealing face to the stations, some of them are painted while other stations have art murals being installed. Railways stations of Ujjain, Indore and Ratlam are being covered in the beautification drive. Pictures from these places are also shared online which show the lovely new face given to these stations. Secunderabad Railway Station Ranked Third Most Beautiful Station in India.

Kalakund, Patalpani and Dr Ambedkar Nagar stations have been transformed into natural landscapes with the painting. As a part of the heritage project of Patalpani-Kalakund train, these station walls been painted with nature sceneries.
